Preferred Cage Size (i.e. 70x14x12 / 70x28x16 / (2) 55x14x12's)

1) What type of ceiling structure do you have? (Example: Flat Bar Joist with Angle Iron, I-Beam Truss, Red-Iron Beam, Open Truss etc.)

2) What is the distance between the lowest hanging set of trusses, from center of truss to next truss? (Example: Trusses are 10' on center)

2b) Do your trusses 'On-Center' spacing stay the same throughout the area where the cage will be installed? If not, please list the variance in 25' intervals. (i.e. Trusses are 10' on-center at 0' point, 12' OC at 25' point, 12' at 50' point, and 14' at 75' point)

3) In the area the frame will be installed, what are the dimensions of the trusses/mounting surface, width and height? (Example: Typical bar-joists have (2) 5" x 5" angle-irons with a 1" gap between them -- in this case the dimension would be 11"W x 5"H with a 1" gap.)

3b) What is the exact gap measurement between your angle irons? (if applicable):

4) Do the trusses have any slope? If so, provide rough estimate of pitch, or height variance at 25' intervals (i.e. floor to truss height is 20' at 0' point, 22' at 25' point, 23' at 50' point, and 25' at 75' point)

5) What is the distance from your floor to the bottom of your mounting surface/trusses? (If needed, measure a block & count the total number of blocks on the wall for approximate height. Total ceiling access may also be required -- if access to ceiling is 25' or higher, a self-propelled scissor-lift will need to be provided by client)

5b) Do you have another set of trusses/beams/purlins which intersect your lowest hanging set of trusses/mounting surface? If so, are they above or below the trusses outlined in #5 above?

6) What are the FULL dimensions (L' x W') of the facility where the cage will be installed, from wall to wall?

7) Based on your projected location, will the cage hang parallel or perpendicular to the trusses/lowest mounting surface?

8) Are there any obstructions (Lights, ducts, hoop support pipes etc.) that hang below the lowest set of trusses, in the entire area the frame will be retracted? (i.e. if cage is 70x14 the entire 70' x 14' area would need to clear, otherwise extra hardware is required)

9) Based on your projected positioning of the cage, what is the distance from the end of the frame to the wall (on each end)? Or distance to any obstructions such as a divider curtain.

10) What is the 'wall type' in the area of the trusses? (i.e. the winch may be mounted on the wall, or directly to a joist)

*The following questions only need to be answered if you are engaging our Professional Installation Services.

11) Are there stairs leading to the area where the batting cage will be installed? (If yes please explain in the comments area)

12) What are the dimensions of the entry doors? (If garage-door or bigger, dimensions are not required)

13) Is the use of a self-propelled scissor lift (w/non-marring tires) on floor ok? (Requiring crew to use plywood on floor will require extra labor hours)

14) General questions, comments or other things we should know.
