CurtainCage - Indoor Ceiling Cable Kit - Basic (55' Cage or less, no anchor hardware)

Basic-Grade Kit (no anchor hardware):

*For use with single lane (10'/12'/14'W) tunnel, 55'L or shorter

The Basic Kit is optimal for lighter-weight batting cage nets in combination with center vertical support points, or within a short gym distance i.e. #21 gauge netting over 60' or shorter span -- if spanning longer, additional vertical drop-points will be required. NO anchor hardware is included with the Basic Kit.

Our Ceiling CurtainCages include 3 linear cables which run just under your ceiling trusses. Vertical cables attach from the linear cables to the top of your tunnel. This allows the cables to slide like a curtain, from one end of your facility to the other.

Bottom-Line: The benefits of the Ceiling Cable System over the Wall Cable System is that it increases the height of the linear cables, opening up your area for other activities, i.e. long-toss, football, volleyball - or other activities that require open over-head space.

• (3) 60'L Rolls of 1/8" Aircraft Cable: Galvanized Coated (For horizontal attachment)
• (165) ft of 1/8" Aircraft Cable: Galvanized Coated (Enough for (33) 5' vertical drops every 5' for 55'L net)
• (3) 1.5" Eye Pulleys (To help cables slide smoother)
• (3) Turnbuckles: 9" x 1/2" Galvanized Steel (Installed on one end of each cable)
• (66) Steel Snap-hooks - Spring-loaded (For attaching cable to top of net & to linear cables)
• (72) 1/8" Cable Clamps (For securing ends of each cable)
  *This model allows linear cables to be mounted at 16'H when used with 12'H net (1/8" cable can be upgraded to elevate linears)

• Cable cutting & crimping: Makes installation significantly easier. Cable is cut to your specific vertical lengths, with both ends crimped using professional crimping tool for tight seal. Creates precise & consistent length, with no chance for cable slippage.
• Roller Wheels: Helps cables slide smoother, preventing grooves from wearing in snaps, resulting in snags. The more used, the easier it will slide.
• Adjustable mounting plates: Allows lines to adjust several inches vertically after lags have been set. Very useful to compensate for the sag over the years as the net relaxes.
• Lag Screws: Add to your kit to minimize trips to the hardware store during installation. Or use your own lags based on the appropriate application. 4 per plate x 6 = 24 total lags required for a single lane CurtainCage.
• Truss Brackets: Custom designed to fit your ceiling trusses, creating termination points for lines. Useful when your walls are too far apart, or they can't handle the high tension loads.

Note: If you don't have solid anchor points, you can only put so much tension on your cable lines without reinforced anchors. Unless you have a very light-weight net, the result of this is either a large amount of sag, or pulling your eye-bolts out of the wall - or both. So if you don't have "back-side" wall access to mount a large anchor washer or plate, you may want to consider our Commercial or Pro Kits, which include Steel Mounting Plates.
